Question #1:

With coloured brow trends on the cards, what is your favourite shade and tint mix to achieve this?

With 8 different shades to choose from it’s so hard to pick just one! I’d have to say creating shades of purple and violet by mixing the RefectoCil Deep Blue with RefectoCil Red tint would have to be my favourite. When it comes to creative, coloured brows this is such a fun colour to work with and the depth of purple can be altered depending on the ratios of Deep Blue and Red you use. It’s also a great shade to tint lashes with on clients with Green or Hazel eyes as it really makes the colour of their eyes pop!

When it comes to achieving the best tint possible for lashes and brows, what are your go-to tips for both treatments?

Preparation is key for long lasting lash and brow tints. I always use the RefectoCil Micellar Eye Make-up remover and do a double cleanse to remove any traces of excess make-up on the lashes and brows before tinting. I also love using the RefectoCil Styling Gel daily. Not only is this a great product to use to achieve perfectly styled brows, it can also be used as a clear mascara and has added D-Panthenol, which protects the tint for extra longevity

We love all brow treatments, yet when it comes to a brow tint, what benefits does it offer over other brow treatments?

Brow tints are a great alternative to more permanent treatments such as microblading or brow feathering. It’s a pain free, affordable, long lasting and fast treatment that can be performed in under 15 minutes! Brow tinting is a great way to enhance eyebrows after a wax or this year’s latest trend – Brow Lamination!

What do you envisage happening moving forward in lash & brow treatments for the beauty professional?

Everything 90’s seems to be coming back at the moment and I have everything crossed that we won’t see the same with eyebrows! I’m a big believer that enhancing the natural brow shape will always be the most flattering. I think brow lamination is here to stay but we will see softer, more natural styles instead of harsh lines and aggressively brushed up brows.

I think brow artists are becoming more creative and not afraid to use a lot more colour- we’ve certainly seen this lately in the celebrity world and I think we’ll see salons and brow artists embrace this trend over the summer.
